BIG BOLD FLORAL !

One of my favorite types of pattern for upholstery, wall paper, curtains, etc is a big bold bright floral pattern ! this can be added to a room in a small way using cushions or a new duvet set or in a more permanent way buy investing in a beautifully made pair of curtains or some stunning wall paper. This season is especially good for finding big bold and bright floral prints as they lend themselves so well to summer and spring and add that bright summer feeling to your room !

These are a few examples of interiors that have used bold floral designs to their advantage.

These are some examples or amazing wall paper from designer guild :

MATTIAZZO - DAMSON -  PDG642/01

AMRAPALI - PEONY - P578/01

SHANGHAI GARDEN - FUCHSIA - PDG649/02

P.S sorry for the absence !I have been super focused on my health and fitness goals for the last few weeks, and with that and work i have had more on my plate than before ! i really miss the blog though so we are back !

My favorite mascaras - Part 3 - Maybelline - Lash sensational

This is the Third part in my favorite mascara reviews

My favorite mascaras
Lancome - Grandiose mascara - £24.50
Benefit - Roller lash -  £19.50
Maybelline - Lash sensational - £5.99

Maybelline - Lash sensational - £5.99

Lash sensational is the most affordable of the three, the brush is also the largest of the three, it is a curved brush with fine rubber bristles and it is meant to make lashed look multiplied and fuller the formula is really smooth and goes on to lashes clump free !  the mascara really does separate lashes and also makes them look fuller this mascara is a really good go to daytime mascara.

My favorite mascaras - Part 2 - Benefit - Roller Lash

This is the second post in my favorite mascara reviews

My favorite mascaras
Lancome - Grandiose mascara - £24.50
Benefit - Roller lash -  £19.50
Maybelline - Lash sensational - £5.99

Benefit - Roller lash -  £19.50

Benefit roller lash is the second most expensive in the test, the formula of this mascara feels quite thin and it really does not clump when your putting it on, it gives a really natural look and feels light on the eyelashes. The brush is rubber again and covered in a lot of tiny bristles, this mascara is quite black but i think the thinner formula leaves lashes looking quite natural and separated this is a good daytime mascara, this was a samples of the mascara but i think i would purchase it again at the full price .

My favorite mascaras - Part 1 - Lancome - Grandiose mascara

This post is going to be the first of four on my three favorite mascaras, the forth post is going to be comparing them to see if the most expensive is worth the money.

Im going to start with the most expensive which is the Grandiose mascara from Lancome.

My favorite mascaras
Lancome - Grandiose mascara - £24.50
Benefit - Roller lash -  £19.50
Maybelline - Lash sensational - £5.99

 Lancome Grandoise mascara: £24.50

The Grandiose mascara by Lancome is the most expensive mascara out of the three it is beautifully packaged with an rose in the top of the lid, the formula of the mascara is really thick, the brush is rubber and covered with different size bristles all over it, I feel like this mascara really does make your lashes look fuller, it is such a true black which i think really helps ! It also lengthens and is quite easy to build up to create a more dramatic look this is the reason that this mascara has been my go to mascara since Christmas and even though it is quite pricey i would defiantly still repurchase it.

Interior Design Style: Part 3, "And it was all yellow"!

Yellow in interior design

Part three of my interior design style is going to be talking about using yellow in interior design ! Recently yellow has made a bit of a come back in the interior design world and has become quite trendy but i find people are still a bit weary about breaking out of the magnolia and beige and start injecting some colour into their lives !

I'm going to show some examples of easy ways to brighten up your home using yellow !

The first way would be to go all out buy a yellow sofa and really make an impact in the space, this would work well if your space is a blank canvas it would become the focal piece in the room, and could bring some life back to a plain space this could work well if your renting and cant paint !

Another way would be to add a pop of colour in a slightly less costly way would be to paint something you already have, this is something you could easily do  and could look as effective as this amazing shelving unit !

This last way is a really easy way to change up a kitchen these industrial stools bring personality and colour into a very modern and cold space these are easily found with a quick google search and come in a range of colours as well !

I think yellow is an amazing colour to bring some light and personality to any space, all of these images can be found on my pintrest along with a full board of inspirational images of yellow decor !

Febuarys My Little Box !!

Hello ! This post is going to be about This months Box from the subscription box service My Little Box this months theme was, a my little Frenchie box !  this theme is in relation to the boxes origins being french, and has been inspired by the french icon Ines de La Fressange who was a super model in the 80's and inspired designers such as Karl Lagerfed.

Ps. just to let you know this months Box was really a standout box !!

The first item out of the box this month was this months bag of beauty products ! This months box contained four full size beauty products which is amazing to see and they are also all really useful products !

Complexion Enhancer - Glowing Skin - £9.50

This is a skin enhancer and has Apricot Kernel oil in, which they say will bring your skin back to life I think this is going to be a great product to use in the mornings when i just need something to brighten up my skin before work

Terrybly Khol Pencil - £23 - Terry

This Khol Pencil is very soft and an amazing black with gold glitter running through it! What is really special about the Khol Pencil by Terry is that is is waterproof ! Which living in Wales is something quite handy really !

DHC Blotting Paper - £4.00 for 100 sheets

This is another full size product from My Little Box this month, these are produced by Japans No 1 direct skincare company DHC and are basically just a blotting paper which is nice and I will be able to use these on a daily basis as they are easy to throw in a bag and also affordable enough to be able to purchase again !

Super Liner Brow Artists Plumper By L'Oreal Paris - £5.99

I was actually really excited to see this in the box even though this is by L'Oreal and i could easily go out and buy, this is something iv been looking to purchase for a while now as i feel i have some what wild eyebrows and i am hoping this will tame them !

The second item out of this months box was this months Lifestyle item !

Pot of messages - £6.50

this is such a cute little touch and is full of useful tips and quotes there are 28 so one for every day this month !

The next item was this months fashion item

Smartphone in PU and canvas - £16

This was a really exciting item in the box, it is a beautifully made phone case by My little box, it is such lovely item and it fits my iphone 5c really well, also the ribbon pull is a really nice touch !

I think this months box is my personal favorite out of the past three months it was a really lovely selection of items and as always a really nice range as well !

Thank you all again for reading i have tried a slightly different format for this review today  hopefully you guys like it all the same !

My top picks from john lewis home - part one bedroom

John Lewis Home - Part one bedroom

In this post i am going to choose some of my favorite things from John Lewis home

It is one of my favorite places to look for furniture and home accessories and it is also one of the first places i will look when working with a client.

I am going to pick items today from the bedroom section and i am going to relate it back to my post about using grey in the bedroom !

I think this look is a minimal nautical theme using tones of grey, blue, natural wood furniture and antique brass, this is how the minimal nautical theme is built up

the feel of the room would be modern, chic and very relaxing perfect for a grown up space maybe in a town house facing the sea in trendy Brighton

Interior design style: Part 2, Neon Love

Neon in Interior Design

Part two of my interior design style is going to be the opposite of part one ! this week it is going to focus on neon in interior design ! i love the use of neon i think i makes a space fun and youth full and can inject that pop of colour that can transform a room.

You can easily use neon into your living space using accessories such as frames and baskets, vases or ornaments, cushions and throws!

This image shows how just a pop or neon pink and yellow can really make and all grey interior that bit more fun !

This image shows how to add some personality to a plain white wall using modern art and neon frames!

you can also add neon into your living space using everyday useful objects such as storage boxes and books ! this paired with a minimal pine shelving unit really lets the small snippets of colour shine through !

I think the key to using neon and not feeling as if your in Cyberdog in London is to use it sparingly and pairing it with white, grey or light wood this way you can use it in your everyday living environments and wont have to wear sunglasses inside !
